LP Quick Connect Recall: Self check
1. Check if your VIN is in scope:
- 7RVTV1228NA000010 to 7RVTV1220NA000062
- 7RVTV1221NA000085 to 7RVTV1227NA000110
- 7RVTV1207NA000591 to 7RVTV1207NA000638
2. If your VIN is in scope, that does not necessarily mean your quick connect is defective.
3. Inspect one of the LP manifolds located beneath the coach. If the manifold is labeled with โM.B. Sturgis INCโ, this unit does not require replacement of the quick connect.
4. If step 3 is unsuccessful, inspect the quick connect. The quick connect will not require replacement if the flow lever or coupler is labeled with M.B. Sturgis,
5. The quick connect will require replacement if:
- MH60896 is visible on the body of the fitting
- If โENERCOโ or โ76290Wโ is visible on the coupler
Note: these markings may be difficult to see and may require brass cleaner or tracing with a black felt marker. The coupler for the Flextech/Enerco quick connect is commonly brass
6. After completing steps 3 through 6:
- Contact your dealer if your unit requires replacement of the quick connect
- Contact Ember Ownership Experience if your unit does not require a replacement. This will remove your name from future mailings regarding this recall and assist us in tracking recall completion.

Chronology :
In late May of 2022 Ember became aware of a possible recall of FlexTech quick connect components. The vendor was contacted several times but no information on the scope or nature of the recall was provided.
Ember attained this information on or around June 8th from the NHTSA website. A review of purchase orders and production schedules determine that approximately 44 commercially available units were built with the potentially defective LP quick connect. A review of warrantee claims found one complaint for a cracked LP fitting from 7/6/22 but Ember was unable to retrieve the defective component to determine if it was a FlexTech brand quick connect. On 7/21/22 the Ember Leadership team determined that a recall was required.
In December of 2022 the determination was made to increase the scope of the recall due to the discovery of Flex-Tech components in VINs outside the original scope.
