Chronology :
In August 2022, while researching information about a vehicle we have built on the Ford MotorCraft Service site, it was discovered that the chassis on which this vehicle was built was part of Safety Recall 22S08. As all vehicles built on the recalled chassis had been delivered, we were not advised of this Safety Recall.
Based on the information provided in the recall documents we established that the modifications done to the power steering system during manufacture of an electric vehicle modified the power steering pressure line, but that the defect may still be present after completion of the vehicle. It was also identified that the parts presenting the defect may have been installed on chassis not part of Ford Safety Recall 22S08. Accordingly, it was decided, on October 25, 2022, to recall the electric vehicles in which the defect may be present, either part of Ford Safety Recall 22S08 or not.
Micro Bird has not received any report of incident or claim regarding this defect
