Steering Gear Assembled Incorrectly
A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Terminal Investment Corporation (TICO) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tico Spotter B 6.7 trucks equipped with certain Sheppard Steering Gears. The steering gear may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the serial numbers, and replace the steering gears, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 2023. Owners may contact TICO customer service at 1-843-536-8139.

Chronology :
TICO received a recall notice from RH Sheppard on the 6th of June 2022 stating that there were affected steering gear units they provided and a description of the condition. The quality and Warranty departments had agreed that there were affected units in TICO products, and it was a safety concern. TICO tractors were deemed compliant in reporting, and a recall was to be issued in support of safety concerns.
