Incorrectly Machined Pitman Arms
The misalignment may cause a reduction or loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Summary
TAP Worldwide, LLC (TAP) is recalling certain Pro Comp
aftermarket Pitman Arms, part numbers 56713B-1, 56714B-1, 56716B-1, 56717B-1, 56715B-1, and DC600. These pitman arms may not be properly machined potentially causing a misalignment between the pitman arm and the steering shaft.
Remedy
TAP will notify owners and will replace the pitman arms, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 2018. Owners may contact TAP customer service at 1-888-376-1417.
