Incorrect Tire Size & Pressure/FMVSS 110
Incorrect tire information could result in improperly inflated tires or the wrong tires being installed on the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (Gulf Stream
) is recalling certain 2024 Trail Boss 160FK trailers. The incorrect tire size and tire pressure are listed on the federal certification label. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims” and 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”
Remedy
Dealers will mail replacement federal certification labels to customers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 8, 2024. Owners may contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787. Gulf Stream
’s number for this recall is 106FK/23.

Chronology :
Gulf Stream Coach became aware of the incorrect Federal Certification Label information through a quality yard audit of finished products on hand. Once identified, immediate containment of finished units on hand with incorrect Federal Certification Label information were segregated and labeled with DO NOT SHIP stickers until such time as replacement Federal Certification Labels with correct information were applied, audited and released for shipment

Certain 2024 model year, Trail Boss model160FK, manufactured by Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (โGulfstreamโ) do not
conform to 49 CFR Part 567 โ Cer๔fica๔on and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 โ โTire Selec๔on.โ
Problem Descrip๔on: Incorrect Federal Cer๔fica๔on Labels iden๔fy the ๔res as being ST225/75R15D LRD. The
correct Federal Cer๔fica๔on Label iden๔fies the ๔res as being ST235/75R15 LRD
Consequence:
The poten๔al for improper infla๔on of the current ๔res exists if a trailer is labeled incorrectly. There is a poten๔al
risk of over infla๔on which could result in reduced trac๔on and performance of the ๔res as well as cause uneven
๔re wear poten๔ally resul๔ng in poor handling and an increased risk of crash.
Remedy:
A replacement label is enclosed to replace the original label. To install, make sure the original label is removed
from the vehicle, the area where the original label was installed should be clean and dry to promote adequate
adhesion of the new replacement label. Remove the label backer exposing the adhesive backed label and put in
place with applied pressure.
Once the label is installed, inspec๔ons and repairs are complete, please complete and return the enclosed
postcard that is pre-stamped and addressed for your convenience.

Certain 2024 model year, Trail Boss model160FK, manufactured by Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (โGulfstreamโ) do not
conform to 49 CFR Part 567 โ Cer๔fica๔on and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 โ โTire Selec๔on.โ
Problem Descrip๔on: Incorrect Federal Cer๔fica๔on Labels iden๔fy the ๔res as being ST225/75R15D LRD. The
correct Federal Cer๔fica๔on Label iden๔fies the ๔res as being ST235/75R15 LRD
Consequence:
The poten๔al for improper infla๔on of the current ๔res exists if a trailer is labeled incorrectly. There is a poten๔al
risk of over infla๔on which could result in reduced trac๔on and performance of the ๔res as well as cause uneven
๔re wear poten๔ally resul๔ng in poor handling and an increased risk of crash.
Remedy:
A replacement label is enclosed to replace the original label. To install, make sure the original label is removed
from the vehicle, the area where the original label was installed should be clean and dry to promote adequate
adhesion of the new replacement label. Remove the label backer exposing the adhesive backed label and put in
place with applied pressure.
Once the label is installed, inspec๔ons and repairs are complete, please complete and return the enclosed
postcard that is pre-stamped and addressed for your convenience.
