Pin Box Mounting Bolts Improperly Torqued
A separation of the trailer can increase the risk of a crash.

Summary
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River
) is recalling certain 2019 Forest River
Columbus recreational trailers, equipped with MORryde
Rubber Pin Boxes. The pin box mounting bolts may have been insufficiently tightened, possibly resulting in the trailer separating from the tow vehicle.
Remedy
Forest River has notify owners, and Forest River
or MORryde
dealers will replace the mounting bolts, free of charge. The recall began February 25, 2019. Owners may contact Forest River
customer service at 1-574-821-1487 or MORyde customer service at 1-574-293-1581. Forest River
’s number for this recall is 410-0954.

It has been determined that vehicles in this recall populaon may have pin box mounng hardware that was
insufficiently ghtened. This could lead to an increased risk of personal injury. In order to prevent injury or
damage to the vehicle, the mounng hardware must be properly torqued.

Tools Required: 15/16โ deep well socket
Torque wrench capable of 1357-lbs
15/16โ wrench
Paint marker
Instrucons:
Step 1: Disconnect truck from trailer.
Step 2:
Set the torque wrench to 1357-lbs, use the 15/16โ
deep well socket and torque all 10 bolts that mount
the pin box to the trailer frame. Keep the nuts from
moving by using a 15/16โ wrench.
Step 3:
Use a paint marker and torque mark all bolts.
Alloed Time: 0.5 hour
