Summary
Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Xpeditor vehicles equipped with a factory installed methane detection system. The circuit protection for the methane detector may be inadequate, and the harness may be improperly routed.
Remedy
Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ten amp fuse with a three amp fuse, free of charge. The recall began on April 13, 2018. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486. Autocar’s number for this recall is ACX-1801.

Subject:
Autocar has determined that a safety defect may exists in the routing of the methane detector sensor harness and/or the circuit detector fuse on 2014-2018 Xpeditor vehicles which could lead to an overcurrent condition.
Safety Recall Information:
This document provides work instructions to inspect, replace and/or repair the methane detector circuit.
Vehicles Affected:
There are 1,320 units manufactured after May 16, 2013. To determine if a vehicle is affected by this recall, log in to the Autocar Warranty Management System at www.autocartruck.com. Click on the blue โWarranty Managementโ diamond on the right hand side of the page. From the main menu, select โView Recalls/Service Programsโ and look for the Autocar recall number above. An excel file will be accessible with the VIN list of affected vehicles. Alternatively, to determine if a single vehicle is affected, select โVIN Profileโ from the main menu. In the โChassis Numberโ field, enter the last 6 of the VIN. Once the VIN profile is displayed, scroll down to the โRecall/Service Program Informationโ section to determine if the recall is open.
Service Responsibility:
Service sites must perform this recall on affected vehicles at no charge to the owner regardless of vehicle mileage, age or ownership. If a vehicle affected by this recall is taken into or is currently in your vehicle inventory, or at your center for service, you must perform this recall before the vehicle is sold or released to the owner.

(1) 3 AMP ATC Fuse (If required, obtain locally)

Submit a claim for reimbursement in accordance with Autocarโs Warranty Administration Manual.
