Tire Valve Stem Extension May Become Damaged
Extensive damage to the valve stem extension may result in a loss of tire pressure of the inner wheel, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Aria, Palazzo, Tuscany, and Venetian motorhomes built on a Daimler Trucks (DTNA) chassis. The tire valve stem extension for the inner wheel may contact the outer wheel rim opening and become damaged.
Remedy
TMC will notify owners, and DTNA dealers will inspect the inner wheel valve stem stabilizers, and adjust as needed and/or replace the inner valve stem, free of charge. The recall began November 2, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-800-524-5210 extension 104 or DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. TMC’s number for this recall is RC000204. DTNA’s number for this recall is FL-861.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Thor Motor Coach (TMC) has decided that a safety defect exists in certain TMC motorhomes based upon notification by Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain FCCC chassis that were used to manufacture your TMC motorhome. DTNA’s recall number is FL861. To assist DTNA and Transport Canada in identifying the final vehicles manufactured, TMC is also conducting a safety recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your safety and continued satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us.
Reason for this recall
On affected model year 2018-2021 Aria, Palazzo, Tuscany, and Venetian motorhomes, the chassis may have been built with the tire valve stem extension for the inner wheel contacting the outer wheel rim opening, potentially damaging the valve stem resulting in a loss of air pressure in the inner tire. A loss of air pressure in the inner tire on a motorhome with a single drive axle may overload the outer tire and increase the risk of a crash.
What we will do
DTNA will be handling the repair of your vehicle at an authorized dealer. The inner wheel valve stem stabilizers will be inspected and adjusted as needed. If the adjustment does not resolve the issue then the inner valve stem will be replaced. This service will be provided free of charge. The recall will take approximately one (1) hour.

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) has decided that a safety defect exists in certain TMC motorhomes based upon notification by Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain FCCC chassis that were used to manufacture your TMC motorhome. DTNA’s recall number is FL861. To assist DTNA and Transport Canada in identifying the final vehicles manufactured, TMC is also conducting a safety recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your safety and continued satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us.
On affected model year 2018-2021 Aria, Palazzo, Tuscany, and Venetian motorhomes, the chassis may have been built with the tire valve stem extension for the inner wheel contacting the outer wheel rim opening, potentially damaging the valve stem resulting in a loss of air pressure in the inner tire. A loss of air pressure in the inner tire on a motorhome with a single drive axle may overload the outer tire and increase the risk of a crash.
DTNA will be handling the repair of your vehicle at an authorized dealer. The inner wheel valve stem stabilizers will be inspected and adjusted as needed. If the adjustment does not resolve the issue then the inner valve stem will be replaced. This service will be provided free of charge. The recall will take approximately one (1) hour.
If the referenced unit on this letter has been retail sold, you are asked to notify the retail owner as soon as possible of this recall because their vehicle was not registered at the time the retail notice was mailed. Please immediately register any retail sold units on this list. As a reminder, you are required by law to complete this recall on any stock units in inventory prior to retail sale. Any vehicle lessor receiving this notice must forward a copy to the lessee within 10 days.
