Jayco, Inc. (Jayco
) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Entegra Accolade, Accolade XL, Anthem, Aspire, Cornerstone, Emblem, Esteem, Expanse, Expanse LI, Odyssey, Qwest, Reatta, Reatta XL, Jayco
Alante, Greyhawk, Greyhawk Prestige, Melbourne, Melbourne Prestige, Precept, Precept Prestige, Redhawk, Redhawk SE, Seneca, Seneca Prestige, and Seneca XT recreational vehicles. The certification labels may be missing the rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”
Remedy
Dealers will install a new corrected certification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 31, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco
’s number for this recall is 9903583.

Incident:
The certification label may be missing the rear axle information including the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
REPLACE CERTIFICATION LABEL
Remove existing label
- Class A models locate the label on the inside of the RV at the interior wall next to the driverโs seat. Class B and Class C models locate the label on the inside of the driverโs door.
- Remove the existing label. Using isopropyl alcohol and a shop rag, remove any adhesive residue from the surface where the original label was removed.
- Allow the area to dry for at least 30 seconds.
Apply new label
- Remove the protective back from the new label. Align the new label in the same location of the original label and apply it to the surface. Remove any air bubbles from the label.
- Note: Do not attempt to remove or adjust the label once it has touched the surface. Doing so may damage the label or cause it not to adhere properly to the surface.
If a label is damaged or will not properly adhere to the surface, please request a new label at compliance@jayco.com and we will send a new label.
Chronology :
On November 3, 2022 the Jayco Information Technology department emailed Jayco
compliance department that Certification labels might have rear axle data left blank due to an internal system printing error that could date back to a programming change on July 1, 2022. An internal investigation began.
On November 7, 2022 the Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed the incident and determined it should be elevated to CPAC.
On December 21, 2022 the Corrective and Preventive Action Committee (CPAC) met to discuss this incident and elevated it to the Safety Steering Committee. Our internal investigation determined the scope of units affected by the programming change on July 1, 2022 that inadvertently led to the rear axle information being missing from the Certification labels.
On February 13, 2023 the Safety Steering Committee voted in favor of proceeding with a noncompliance recall for failing to comply with requirement of the 49 CFR Part 567 Certification ยง567.5(d)

You can install the correct label on your Recreational Vehicle or you can contact an authorized Jayco Inc. dealer and schedule an appointment to have the label installed. The correct label and instructions are enclosed.
Federal regulations require that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within ten days.
If you had this repair completed prior to receipt of this recall notice, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall. Submit an email to service@jayco.com including your name, address, VIN, recall number, and a clear, legible receipt showing the identification of the product that was recalled.

On November 3, 2022 the Jayco Information Technology department emailed Jayco
compliance department that Certification labels might have rear axle data left blank due to an internal system printing error that could date back to a programming change on July 1, 2022. An internal investigation began.
On November 7, 2022 the Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed the incident and determined it should be elevated to CPAC.
On December 21, 2022 the Corrective and Preventive Action Committee (CPAC) met to discuss this incident and elevated it to the Safety Steering Committee. Our internal investigation determined the scope of units affected by the programming change on July 1, 2022 that inadvertently led to the rear axle information being missing from the Certification labels.
On February 13, 2023 the Safety Steering Committee voted in favor of proceeding with a noncompliance recall for failing to comply with requirement of the 49 CFR Part 567 Certification ยง567.5(d) Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Jayco Inc. dealers and retail owners will adhere Certification labels
showing the rear axle data on all affected units. Repairs made prior to the recall will be reimbursed in accordance with our Recall Reimbursement Plan on file with NHTSA. There are no warranty claims or complaints associated with this recall. Jayco Inc. will be reporting the quarterly completion rates to NHTSA.
