Companies who sell new non-complying vehicles may be in violation of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Substantial penalties apply to violations of this law. This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. This is to inform you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person.

SAFETY RECALL – STOP SALE NOTIFICATION.
2022-2024 COACHMEN PRISM CLASS C MOTORHOMES
Forest River has decided that a safety defect exists in certain 2022-2024 Coachmen Prism Class C Motorhome Recreational Vehicles. Forest River is recalling the defective model(s) to ensure the safety of our future retail consumers and your dealership. Forest River is issuing a Stop Sale Notice effective immediately.
Please access your Home Page on Dealer Connect to verify if your Dealership has units in stock that are subject to this recall. Enter the Service Campaign number referenced above in the “Campaign Search” field, and click on the “Campaign ID Number”. Next, select “MY VINS”. Not all Dealers have units in stock that are affected by this recall.
DEFECT/NONCOMPLIANCE:
The FED Tag may indicate a lower count of seat belts than what is installed into the vehicle.
EVALUATION OF RISK:
An incorrect Cargo Carrying Capacity may lead to an operator overloading the vehicle, which may lead to a crash.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
Forest River is in process of printing new Federal Placards. The Federal Placards will be shipped directly to your Dealership for all affected vehicles in your stock inventory. All vehicles that are consumer owned; the Federal Placard will be sent directly to their address on file.

On March 4, 2024, the manufacturing plant discovered that manufacturing records indicate that there is four seat belts in the vehicle(s), whereas the Federal Placard indicates only two seated positions. On March 5, 2024, the manufacturing plant and Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) met to review the data. OCC opened a research item. On March 8, 2024, Forest River’s Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. A Stop Sale Notice will be issued immediately following the filing of this recall. Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers
and Dealers. Forest River will notify dealerships of this recall and will provide them with Federal Placards for all vehicles located in their stock inventory. Consumers will receive their Federal Placards via mail along with remedy instructions to install these Federal Placards. If a consumer is uncomfortable installing them, they can visit a Forest River Dealer or Service Center to have the Placard installed at no charge.

Description of Recall Schedule : Forest River has the utmost urgency in our recalls. Forest River will send
suspected VIN numbers to our third party vendor that is licensed to pull data on the current owner of the vehicles (as needed) once a formal NHTSA I.D. is provided. Forest River intends on pushing the mailing out as soon as NHTSA provides any correction(s) and an Acknowledgement Letter.
