Effective immediately and until further notice, these MY 2023 Fisker vehicles
are on mandatory stop-sale hold.
DO NOT sell, or offer for sale or lease, any vehicle included in this hold.
All affected vehicles already updated to Software 2.1 may be shipped and sold
to all markets.

Fisker Ocean vehicles produced for the U.S.A, Canada and EU markets. Please check your
inventory for any affected vehicles.

RECALLS
New Vehicles in Dealer Inventory: It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a new
motor vehicle or any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment (including a tire) covered by
this notification under a sale or lease until the defect or noncompliance is remedied. By law, dealers

must correct, prior to delivery for sale or lease, any vehicle that fails to comply with an applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard or that contains a defect relating to motor vehicle safety.
Pre-Owned Vehicles in Dealer Inventory: It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a pre-owned motor vehicle or any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment (including a tire) covered by this notification under a sale or lease until the defect or noncompliance is remedied. Situation:
Due to incorrect fault monitor calibrations within the VCU and MCU, some field issues have been discovered which led to dynamic safe states, affecting the vehicle customer.
Correction:
All vehicles produced in 2023 will have an OTA update to address a consequence of loss of motive power for the customer (safety recall).

Subject: Notification of Safety Recall Campaign TSB10032403 – Powertrain Modules
Fisker Inc. (Fisker) has identified software characteristics in the current Motor Control Unit (MCU) and Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) version may cause the vehicle to enter a safe state protection mode. As a result, there may be a loss of motor power or motive power, with the vehicle losing torque and rolling to a stop. The gear may shift from Drive (D) to Neutral (N), and then to Park (P) when coming to a complete stop. This unique and unusual situation can occur in specific use cases that trigger improper response from the controller safety mechanisms.
These conditions may include:
• Wheel slip on icy surfaces at low speed
• Driver changing from deceleration to acceleration at specific low speed conditions
• Repeated, back-to-back maximum acceleration and deceleration
• Incorrectly triggered drive unit fault monitors including when activating the rear disconnect clutch or checking power supply voltage
The vehicle can be recovered by cycling the power and pressing the brake pedal. Other powertrain modules may also be affected during the loss of motive power. As a result, Fisker is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign effective May 29, 2024, on all MY 2023 Fisker Ocean vehicles manufactured for the U.S.A, Canada, and EU markets.
The current proposed remedy is the release of the over the air new software operating system (OS) 2.1 which will modify the torque safety monitor thresholds, ensuring they are adapted to the unique driving scenarios.
Once the vehicles in your inventory are updated with the new OS 2.1 software, they then can be released for sale.
On or before June 30, 2024, vehicle owners will be notified with a notification recall letter.
