Water Heater May Scald Operator
The overheating of the water may result in the release of steam, possibly causing the operator is to scald themselves, increasing the risk of injury.

Summary
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling 2016 Solstice Travel Star fifth wheel trailers equipped with Atwood on-demand water heaters. The water heaters have a water and gas valve that may cause the water heater to overheat the water in the hot water supply tap.
Remedy
Starcraft will notify owners, and Atwood dealers will install a water flow adjustment stop key that prevents the recall condition from occurring, free of charge. The recall began on October 23, 2019. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787 or Atwood customer service at 1-877-546-9074.

Dear Valued Customer:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Starcraft has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety exits in certain Model Year 2016 Solstice and Travel Star Fifth Wheels equipped with an Atwood On Demand Water Heater.
| Reason for this recall | The water flow adjustment feature on the water heater poppet valve, may have drifted from its original setting, or may have been set incorrectly during manufacturing of the water heater. An incorrect setting can allow the water heater to turn on with too little water flow, which could potentially make the water so hot that it can scald the customer. |
| Recall Remedy | A Dometic Dealer will install a Stop Key to prevent any adjustment of the valve and place a label noting the remedy is in place at no charge to you. The recall remedy will take approxmiatly 30 minutes to complete. |
| What we need you to do | Please locate a Dometic Dealer in your area on www.dometic.com or contact Dometic Recall Department at [email protected] or 888-446-5157 noting the Atwood Recall 15E-087. |
If you had this repair completed prior to receipt of this recall notice, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
If you take your recreational vehicle to your dealer on the agreed service date and the dealer does not remedy this condition on that date or within three (3) days, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-945-4787. If after contacting your dealer and Customer Service you are not able to have the safety defect remedied without charge and/or within a reasonable time, you may wish to submit a written complaint to the Administrator, national Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE., Washington, DC 20590; or call the toll-free Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-3274236 (TTY: 1-800-424-9153): or go to https://www.safercar.gov.
