Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance was notified by Lippert Components of a recall that was filed regarding a separation of a welded seam at the awning fabric’s coach interface. On July 8, 2022 Forest Rivers Office of Corporate Compliance filed a recall Part 573 Safety Recall Report 22V-486 Page 6 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers and Dealers. An authorized Forest River dealer will need to perform the remedy to replace the fabric roll on the awning or if needed replace the awning complete. Affected Component Per LCI’s Recall: “Electric retractable awnings up to 16’ in length” Replacement Component Per LCI’s Recall: “Replacement material has been certified through validated equipment parameters.” Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Per LCI’s Recall: “Shut line down on 6/14/2022, reviewed all process and machine parameters, identified potential areas for weld inconsistency and corrected the process and conducted destructive tests to prove process fix.
