) is recalling certain 2023 IC CE School Buses. The engine control module (ECM) may experience an internal electrical short-circuit, causing the engine to stall.
Remedy
Cummins
will replace the ECM. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2022. Owners may contact Navistar

engines that were manufactured between May 13, 2022 and June 28, 2022. This notice applies to the engine(s) listed on the enclosed table. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? Your engine is equipped with an Engine Control Module (ECM) that may have a manufacturing defect that could result in an engine stall without warning. An unexpected engine stall without the ability to restart the engine may lead to an increased risk of a crash. WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT THE PROBLEM? Cummins
has released Safety Campaign #C2614 CM2450 ECM Replacement Safety Campaign to address this condition by replacing the ECM. This campaign is currently available at Cummins
Distributors and authorized Warranty Dealers. The repair will be completed free of charge and most applications will require approximately 1.3 hours to complete. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? Contact the nearest Cummins
Distributor or authorized Warranty Dealer to arrange to have this safety action performed on your engine(s). The distributor or dealer will work with you to schedule the best date to complete this repair. If you have not registered your Cummins
