The customer notifications will begin mailing this week while replacement parts are in process and will be available for shipment thereafter. Execution Details: • Dealers will place an order for one (1) each of part numbers 4247753 and 4247754 per unit. • Dealers will transfer the tether hardware from the old brackets to the replacement brackets. o Drill an 11/64” pilot hole in the new bracket. Use the old bracket as reference for location. o Detach tether hardware from old bracket and attach to the new bracket with a 10-24 x ½” screw • Dealer will render the old brackets unusable and photograph destruction and disposal of recalled product. • Dealer will submit campaign claim to Pierce with photo attached. Reimbursement:  Labor – One half (0.5) hour to replace the two stokes baskets LYFE brackets with transfer of hardware.  Material – Cost of the brackets; including freight.  Travel – Travel will not be reimbursed. There is a total of 299 affected vehicles in the field. Only 100’ Rear Mount Aluminum Platform (RMAP) and 100’ Mid Mount Steel Platform vehicles are affected by this issue. Involved vehicles have been identified by Pierce job numbers and are listed on Pierceparts.com. Owner name and address data will enable dealers to follow up with owners involved in this campaign after Pierce has issued the customer notifications. Pierce has identified these vehicles based on build orders. Customers can continue to keep their vehicles in service until the repair is completed. Customers will be advised to remove the existing stokes basket mounting brackets from their vehicles and return them to their Pierce Dealer.
