Brake Lights May Fail to Illuminate
Brake lights that fail to illuminate may reduce the visibility of the vehicle or fail to indicate to other drivers that the coach is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2023-2024 P50 motor coaches. The brake lights may fail to illuminate unless the brake pedal is fully depressed.
Remedy
Newell will rewire the brake switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 14, 2023. Owners may contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355.

Brake Light Switch Wiring Correction
1. Open the Front Load Center to inspect the wiring. If a yellow wire with a black stripe and a yellow wire with a red stripe are in terminal 201, proceed to the next step. If not then this procedure is not needed.
2. Move the yellow with black and yellow with red to terminal 195.
3. Find the yellow with green located in the lower Panduit in the steering column loom. Move it to terminal 201.

This notice applies to your vehicle:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Newell Coach has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2023-2024 Newell Model
P50 coaches, with coach numbers from 1747 through 1774. As a result, Newell Coach is conducting a safety recall. We
apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your safety and satisfaction are of the utmost
importance to us.
The taillights may not light up unless the brake pedal is fully depressed potentially leading to an
accident, serious injury or death by not indicating to others the coach is braking.
We will perform an inspection to verify proper taillight function. The inspection will take
approximately 5 minutes. The brake switch rewiring repair, if required, will take approximately
15 minutes. The rewiring consists of relocating three wires in the fuse panel.
You should contact your Newell service advisor to schedule an appointment at the service
center in Miami, OK or to make arrangements for a qualified service center in the field
convenient to your location. For repairs made in the field, Newell will supply the necessary parts
and pay the service center or reimburse you. If you have questions concerning this recall or if
you need any assistance, please contact the Newell Coach Warranty/Service Department by mail
at 3900 North Main Street, Miami, OK 74354, or by phone at 1-888-363-9355. If you had
appropriate repairs completed prior to receipt of this recall notice, and if you incurred any direct
cost in connection with obtaining such repair, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement
from Newell Coach by contacting the Newell Coach Warranty/Service Department.
If after contacting Newell Coach Customer Service you are still not satisfied we have done our best to remedy this
situation, you may also submit a written complaint to: Administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,
