Production Dates : AUG 16, 2022 – NOV 10, 2022 VIN Range 1 : Begin : NR End : NR Not sequential Description of Defect : Description of the Defect : The jump seat on the passenger side may be missing a safety clip that prevents the pivot rod from sliding. Without this safety clip, the pivot rod could shift. causing the seat to fall. FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : : A seat falling could increase the risk of an injury. Involved Components : Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-315 Page 2 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Component Name 1 : Jumper Seats Component Description : Passenger side trainer seat Component Part Number : 10002843 Supplier Identification : Component Manufacturer Name : Adam Lindloff Address : 1515 Industrial Street Reedsburg Wisconsin 53959 Country : United States Chronology : On March 15, 2023, Capacity of Texas was notified by NHTSA that Seats, Inc. identified Capacity of Texas as a purchaser of the equipment that is mentioned in this recall. Capacity of Texas began an investigation and initially determined that it did not have a suspect population of the equipment in question. This was relayed to NHTSA. After further investigation and communication with the supplier, it was determined that there was a population of defective units used in certain models of vehicles manufactured by Capacity of Texas. On April 25, 2023, a defect investigation report (DIR) was drafted and escalated to the REV Group Corporate Compliance Department for approval. On May 2, 2023, the DIR was approved. On May 3, 2023, Capacity of Texas filed a 573. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Seats Inc. has issued a TSB on the repair procedure. Capacity of Texas is working with Seats Inc. to determine a remedy program for the non compliance. Meanwhile Seats Inc. has agreed to inspect suspect trucks in the field. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Missing clips are being installed on seats not equipped with them.
