Chronology :
In December 2022, Altec initiated a review of compliance with a revision to an internal standard and discovered engineering might not have revised some unit design specifications to ensure they complied with the new requirements. On March 28, 2023, an investigation was initiated to determine if units in the field could have a 110V outlet at the boom tip without an inline GFCI mounted in the body compartment. On June 16, 2023, after reviewing the data collected in the investigation, Altec determined that a defect could exist on units in the field, and a campaign should be completed to inspect and update the affected units. There were no warranty claims or field reports identified. There have been no accidents, injuries, or deaths related to this issue.
