Riverside Rd Saint Joseph Missouri 64507 Country : United States Chronology : During the design of a customer order, an engineer identified no circuit protection on a previous inverter circuit design using a particular inverter model. On July 13, 2023, a potential field action was opened to determine if there were units in the field that could have an unprotected AC circuit and the field population of those units. On July 21, 2023, Altec determined that a potential defect was present in a certain field population and that a field campaign was required. There have been no warranty claims or other field reports identified. There have been no accidents, injuries, or deaths related to this issue. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : A 20-amp circuit breaker will be installed in the AC circuit. The recall remedy will be completed free of charge when presented for repair. The Altec Warranty Policy covers the recall remedy including cases requiring reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The installed remedy circuit breaker will open at the set amperage rating to prevent overload of the circuit.
