Brake Pad Friction Material may Detach
If the brake pad friction material detaches it can, inhibit braking ability, increasing the risk of injury and crash.
Summary
If the rear brake pad friction material detaches, it may lengthen the distance needed to stop the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Brembo will work with the affected vehicle manufacturers and distributors, and replace the defective brake pads, free of charge. The recall began on July 17, 2018.

SAFETY RECALL NOTICE

We make reference to Our safety recall notice dated 20/07/2018 (“Pads_Recall_Notice_2018_07_20_Race_Technologies” or “Notice”) through which we communicated you that Brembo S.P.A. C’Brembo”) was become aware of two occurrences of potential friction material detachment from brake pads manufactured by Federal Mogul Italia S.r.l. (supplier batch #672, “FMi Batch #672′; Part No.: 07.6949.10) for Brembo.
The further quality checks undertaken by Brembo during the last weeks revealed that the potential material detachment from brake pads manufactured by Federal Mogul Italia S.r.l. could impact also the other products Part No below identified:
