On October 3, 2023, during our recall notification process to Dealers, it was found that 3 units were retail sold. Therefore, we will be sending owner notification letters. Description of the Cause : The manufacturing plant had a shortage of the appropriate size of fuse. Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : None Involved Components : Component Name 1 : 30AMP Fuse, 12V Component Description : 30AMP Fuse, 12V Component Part Number : N/A Supplier Identification : Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-660 Page 4 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Component Manufacturer Name : NR Address : NR NR Country : NR Chronology : On September 27, 2023, during a routine Corporate Standards Audit of units in the ship yard with certain August manufacturing date, was discovered that a possible incorrect fuse may have been installed into the vehicles power distribution center. On September 28, 2023, the Corporate Standards Manager and manufacturing plant contacted Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) the same day. OCC opened a research item. On September 29, 2023, Forest Rivers Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. All vehicles are located at Dealers, therefore there will not be an owner notification for this recall. On October 3, 2023, during our recall notification process to Dealers, it was found that 3 units were retail sold. Therefore, we will be sending owner notification letters. Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-660 Page 5 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers and Dealers. An authorized Forest River dealer will need to perform the remedy to remove the current 30 AMP 12V fuse and replace it with a 15 AMP 12V fuse. What is the Forest River Customer Service Phone Number? Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The week of August 23, 2023, the manufacturing plant received their shipment of 15AMP fuses. Unknown to plant management that certain personnel had installed 30AMP fuses where 15AMP fuses were required. Recall Schedule : Description of Recall Schedule : Forest River has the utmost urgency in our recalls. Forest River will send suspected VIN numbers to our third party vendor that is licensed to pull data on the current owner of the vehicles (as needed) once a formal NHTSA I.D. is provided. Forest River intends on pushing the mailing out as soon as NHTSA provides any correction(s) and an Acknowledgement Letter.
