Additionally, the side marker lamps do not meet FMVSS 108. Description of the Cause : Manufacturing failed to put on the reflector. Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : None Involved Components : Component Name 1 : Amber Marker Lamp Component Description : Amber Marker Lamp Component Part Number : LED-157-3737 Component Name 2 : Red Marker Lamp Component Description : Red Marker Lamp Component Part Number : LED-157-3131 Supplier Identification : Component Manufacturer Name : NR Address : NR NR Country : NR Chronology : On October 27, 2023, Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) was notified that during a routine Corporate Standards Inspection that the side marker lamps did not have the correct marking for reflex reflector. OCC opened a research item. On October 30, 2023, OCC communicated with the supplier. It was indicated by the supplier that the lamps are to be used in conjunction with a reflex reflector, as Forest River’s original Work & Play division had done (ceasing 2020). Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-738 Page 3 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 On November 3, 2023, Forest Rivers Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers and Dealers. An authorized Forest River Dealer/Service Center will need to perform the remedy. The remedy will be to install reflector stickers in conjunction with the current marker lamps to ensure the required reflectivity required by FMVSS 108 is achieved.
