Incorrect Design of the Shock Absorber
The incorrect lower mount/base cup may result in the shock absorbers not remaining properly secured to the vehicle, affecting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash.
Summary
TAP Worldwide, LLC (TAP) is recalling certain Pro Comp
aftermarket Pro Runner Monotube Shock Absorbers, part numbers ZX2005 and ZX2007. The lower mount/base cup of the shock absorbers may be incorrect.
Remedy
TAP will notify owners and provide replacement shock absorbers that have a correct lower mount/base cup, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 2018. Owners may contact TAP customer service 1-888-376-1417.
