) is recalling certain 2024 Peterbilt
520 vehicles. The rear lifting bracket that attaches to the engine cylinder head may be insufficiently secured, which can allow it to detach.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the flanged stud in the rear lifting bracket, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification were mailed November 14, 2024. Owners may contact Peterbilt

Recall 23E080, Inspect and replace, if required, the flanged stud in the rear lifting bracket arrangement with the correct length flanged stud. Peterbilt
Safety and Compliance was informed that 3 vehicles out of the population have been inspected/repaired. Notification letters will be sent only to owners that have not yet received the repair. Owners who incurred costs to obtain a remedy for the problem addressed by the recall in advance of receiving notification may seek reimbursement through the process outlined in the general reimbursement plan on file. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The remedy component is shorter (by 5mm) than the incorrect flanged stud used on the rear lifting bracket. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Cummins
attained clean point and sorted in house inventory. On September 16th, 2023, Cummins

Inc. has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain L9N engines that were manufactured between August 1, 2023, and September 14, 2023. This notice applies to your L9N engine(s) listed in the enclosed engine table. WHY IS A RECALL BEING CONDUCTED? The subject engines may have been built with incorrect length flanged stud(s) attaching the rear lifting bracket to the cylinder head. The rear lifting bracket may detach from the cylinder head while the engine is being lifted, possibly causing the engine to swing or fall, potentially resulting in personal injury. WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT THE PROBLEM? Cummins
has released field Safety Campaign #C2735 “L9N Rear Lifting Bracket Hardware Mounting Safety Campaign” to correct this condition by inspecting and replacing the flanged stud in the rear lifting bracket arrangement with the correct length flanged stud. Repair parts are currently available at Cummins
Distributors and authorized Warranty Dealers. The repair will be completed free of charge (parts and labor) and most applications will require approximately 1.2 hours to complete. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? Contact the nearest Cummins
Distributor or authorized Warranty Dealer to arrange to have this campaign performed on your engine. The distributor or dealer will work with you to schedule the best date to complete this repair. In the meantime, Cummins
