SUBJECT: Hubbell Wirecon Receptacle Product Shipped between August 14, 2023, and October 31, 2023
Hubbell Incorporated (Delaware), Bryant Electric Division (“Hubbell”) is voluntarily recalling a certain Hubbell Wirecon SCD Duplex Receptacle product that was shipped from the Hubbell factory between August 14, 2023, and October 31, 2023 (the “Affected Product”). There were approximately 2,000 units produced that have the “HOT” and “Neutral” plug blade openings on one of the two receptacle outlet faces, reversed. Affected Products include the following Hubbell Part Number:

While there has been no report of injury and/or damage to property, Hubbell is concerned that the Affected Product will not perform in accordance with the product specifications, and if a 2-pole polarized plug (narrow hot blade & wider neutral blade) with no ground pin is inserted into the Affected Product, it may lead to product failure, property damage and an increased risk of fire or injury. All uninstalled inventories of the Affected Product should be returned to the Hubbell factory for free replacement or credit for the purchase price. Hubbell further requests your help in working with Customers to identify any installed Affected Product.
According to our records, Dave Carter & Associates purchased the Affected Product shown on the accompanying page.

We request that Dave Carter & Associates immediately quarantine any Affected Product inyour company’s inventory and contact your Hubbell sales professional or me to arrange returnand replacement or credit.

Any installed units that need to be replaced by a certified electrician. Hubbell willreimburse any expense to replace the Affected Product.

Forest River has been notified that a safety defect exists in certain components used in certain 2024 Adrenaline, Apex, Freedom Express, Remote, Spirit and Work & Play Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles. Forest River is recalling the defect model(s) to ensure the safety of our future retail consumers and your dealership. Forest River is issuing a Stop Sale Notice effective immediately.
To verify if your vehicle is part of the Stop Sale Notice, please visit DealerConnect and enter the VIN to see if it is subject to the aforementioned recall. Access your Home Page or the Service Campaign Module on Dealer Connect to find any open recall(s) for vehicles in your stock and supporting documents. This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements Motor Vehicle Safety Act. This notice is also sent in accordance with the requirements of the United States’ National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Forest River has decided that a defect, which relates to the motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2024 Adrenaline, Apex, Freedom Express, Remote, Spirit and Work & Play Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles. This is to inform you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person.
WHAT IS THE DEFECT?
The receptacles produced by Hubbell Inc./Bryant Electric may have the “HOT” and “Neutral” plug blade openings on one of the two receptacle outlet faces, reversed.
EVALUATION OF THE RISK TO THE VEHICLE AND OPERATOR(S) RELATED TO THE RECALL.
If a 2-pole polarized plug (narrow hot blade & wider neutral blade) with no ground pin is inserted into the Affected Product, it may lead to product failure, property damage and an increased risk of fire or injury.
WHAT IS FOREST RIVER AND OUR DEALERSHIPS GOING TO DO?
Forest River is notifying dealerships of the recall. You may have the recall corrected at any Forest River dealership. However, it is preferable if you have your selling dealership perform the remedy. Forest River completely covers your cost for the remedy; you will not receive any bill of sale for anything covered under the above recall number.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Please contact your dealer immediately and request a service appointment to schedule the free remedy. The receptacles will be tested to determine if they are in fact incorrect, if so, they will be replaced. The vehicle Owner is responsible for arranging to have the work completed. Please state you have been notified by Forest River of having a recall in process for your vehicle and provide the recall number for the dealership. It is also helpful to the dealership to have a copy of this letter when you take your vehicle in for the recall remedy. You may also visit www.forestriverinc.com for dealer locations.
HOW LONG WILL THE REMEDY PROCESS TAKE?
The estimated time of repair is .30 hours. However, the dealership may need to keep your vehicle or schedule an appointment with you for a later date to fit into their regular service schedule.
WHAT IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY PAID FOR REPAIRS TO YOUR VEHICLE FOR THIS PARTICULAR CONDITION?
If you have already paid for a repair that is within the scope of this defect under recall, you still need to have this recall inspected and/or performed to ensure the correct parts and procedures were utilized.
Additionally, you may be eligible for a refund of previously paid repairs. Refunds will only be provided for within the scope of this defect under recall.

If your dealership has already performed the remedy to 2024 Adrenaline, Apex, Freedom Express, Remote, Spirit and Work & Play Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles, your dealership is entitled to the reimbursement as stated above by filing a claim using the indicated repair code(s). On November 14, 2023, Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance received an email from our supplier
Dave Carter and Associates containing a recall notice from Hubbell Incorporated / Bryant Electric Division
along with purchasing records.
On November 17, 2023, Forest River’s Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. A Stop Sale Notice is being
issued immediately following the recall filing.

Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers
and Dealers. An authorized Forest River Dealer or Service Center will need
to perform the remedy. The affected receptacles will be replaced with the
correct face.

as soon as NHTSA provides any correction(s) and an Acknowledgement
Letter.
