Description of the Defect : It has been decided that the vehicles in the recall population may have a roller shade installed near the stove top instead of a mini blind.

3/27/2024 – Investigation opened. All affected units were put on hold and yard was inspected and all units on the yard were fixed.
4/2/2024 – There are no claims reported on this issue at this time. 4/3/2024 – Investigation concluded and scope completed.
Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : The remedy is to remove the roller shade and replace it with the correct
mini blind Manufacturer Reimbursement Plan on file as of 10/11/2022. General reimbursement plan to be updated every two years. New vehicles are covered under warranty. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The Roller shades part numbers 717922, 729871, 717920, 727920, 717923 are incorrect. The correct component is a mini blind part numbers 172542, 662772, 638913, 625931, 601366
Units were quarantined, inspected then repaired as indicated by inspection. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Keystone will notify the dealers and owners of the recreational vehicles
by letter. A final copy of the owner letter will be provided to NHTSA, along with the dealer repair procedures.

It has been decided that the vehicles in the recall population may have a roller shade installed near
the stove top instead of a metal mini blind. Under certain conditions while using the stove top, the
roller shade can touch the burner leading to an increased risk of fire. The vehicles included in the
recall are:

Our records indicate unit(s) sold or in your present lot inventory fall within this range, which will require immediate
preventative action. Important: If some of the units are still in your inventory, Federal Law requires you to
complete the recall service on those units before retail delivery. The unit VIN(s) our records indicate are presently in

Keystone RV Company has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in the vehicles listed above. As a result, Keystone RV is conducting a safety recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your safety and continued satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us.
It has been decided that the vehicles in the recall population may have a roller shade installed near the stove top instead of a metal mini blind. Under certain conditions while using the stove top, the roller shade can touch the burner leading to an increased risk of fire.
Keystone representatives have been in contact with the staff at your selling dealership regarding this situation. The remedy is to remove the roller shade and replace it with the correct metal mini blind. The service and parts required for this corrective action will be provided at no charge to you.
Please remove the roller shade completely until the corrective measures are implemented. As soon as possible, please make an appointment to have your RV serviced by your dealership. The labor time to perform this correction is approximately 1 hour. Please ask your dealer if you wish to know how much additional time will be needed to schedule and process your RV for this repair.
Your dealer is best equipped to obtain parts and provide service to ensure your RV is corrected as promptly as possible. Please contact Keystone Customer service if your dealer is unable to assist or if you take your RV to your dealer on the agreed service date, and the dealer does not remedy the condition within a reasonable amount of time, or without charge to you. Sunset Shade Over Stove
Keystone is conducting a voluntary RECALL notification campaign in accordance with the
National Highway Transportation and Safety Act. It has been decided that the vehicles in the
recall population may have a roller shade installed near the stove top instead of a mini blind.
Under certain conditions while using the stove top, the roller shade can touch the burner
leading to an increased risk of fire.

Note – Check serial number on Key Express to verify the campaign is open. Some vehicles were
repaired before they left Keystone.
When performing warranty or recall service, please make certain that appropriate Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) is used.
The remedy is to remove the roller shade and replace it with the correct mini blind.
REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Locate the trailer on a level, flat, hard surface. Chock the wheels.
Step 2
Remove the roller shade and all hardware. These parts can be field scrapped.
Step 3
Install the mini blind.
