Summary
Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 ACX (Xpeditor) and DC (Legend) vehicles. The axle lock nut may be improperly secured, allowing the wheel end to separate.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and secure or replace the lock nut, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 26, 2024. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar’s numbers for this recall are ACX-2402 and DC-2405.

Chronology :
April 8, 2024, Autocar personnel identified a single unit within the manufacturing process. April 9, 2024, through April 22, 2024, an internal audit including recheck of all units in-house and a clean point established for production. One defect found and corrected. May 23,2024, all relevant information was presented to Autocar management team and out of an abundance of caution, Autocar decided to perform a voluntary safety recall. The concern was identified during production, we have no known claims, cases, or complaints.
