Descriptive Information : This product was designed with an incorrect heat shield. Found the heat shield is 1.5 inches short and allows the LP tank to be within 18 inches of the exhaust.

The heat shield which protects the propane tank from the internal combustion engines exhaust is 1.5 inches short and allows a portion of the propane tank to be unprotected FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR
Description of the Safety Risk : The propane tank can overheat which may result in an increased risk of fire and personal injury.

Engineering discovered the short heat shield during an audit on May 17, 2024. An investigation commenced May 20, 2024. TMC’s safety committee met on June 4, 2024 and all agreed to file a recall. No warranty claims or customer complaints have been received. Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Installation of an overlapping heat shield will fully protect the propane
tank from excessive heat. The correction will be done at no cost to the owner. Any reimbursement will follow the general reimbursement plan that is on file with NHTSA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Installation of heat shield number 0565358. This is a formed 20 gauge steel angle that covers the gap in the original design
