Entry Door may Open Unexpectedly
If the door opens during transit, it can increase the risk of injury or a crash.
Summary
Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain 2019 Entegra Anthem, Aspire, Cornerstone and Insignia motorhomes. The affected vehicles have entry doors with latch rods that may be improperly adjusted, allowing the door to open during transit.
Remedy
Entegra has notified owners, and dealers will adjust the door latch rod, free of charge. The recall began October 15, 2018. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Entegra’s number for this recall is 9903409.

Confirm door serial number on the entrance door is affected by this recall. Please reference the door manufacturer’s list of affected serial numbers above.
Open the entrance door to locate the door serial number tag.The tag is on the door jamb at the back of the door, just above the electrical door contacts.
The serial number is a blue 6 number ID above the door manufacturer’s label.
To expose the nut used to adjust the door latch paddle, use a screwdriver (or putty knife) to pry out the plastic plug by the door latch.
Before beginning the adjustment procedure; operate the outer paddle handle to determine the travel distance. The travel distance of the handle before it releases the latch should be at least 3/4 of the total distance. If the travel is already at least 3/4 of the distance, no further adjustment is necessary. If it is not, proceed with the following repair steps.
Insert the 7/16” deep well socket into the hole and onto the nut.
Rotate the nut to the left (CCW) if the rotary latch releases too soon.
(The handle will travel more to activate the latch.)
Rotate the nut to the right (CW) if the rotary latch does not release easily enough (binds slightly).
(The handle won’t travel as far before it activates the latch.)
This procedure should be done with door in open position and manually closing the rotary latch and making the adjustments until the outside paddle handle travels 3/4 of the distance before the rotary latch releases.
Test the function by closing and releasing the rotary latch several times with both the outside and inside handles before closing the door. Replace the black plastic plug and the adjustment is complete.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Jayco
has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety exits in certain 2019 Entegra Anthem, Aspire, Insignia and Cornerstone Class A motorhomes.
| Reason for this recall | The latch on specific entrance doors may open without warning while motorhome is in transit. If this were to happen, an increased risk of a crash with personal injury and/or property damage is possible. |
| Recall Remedy | An Entegra dealer will adjust the door latch mechanism at no charge. The recall remedy is free of charge and will take approximately twenty minutes to complete.
Please inspect the entrance door of your motorhome to obtain the door serial number. Compare this serial number to the serial numbers listed on the Recall Instruction sheet provided. |

If you take your recreational vehicle to your dealer on the agreed service date and the dealer does not remedy this condition on that date or within three (3) days, please contact Customer Service Department at 800-283-8267.
