Summary
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Tuscany XTE (models 34ST, 36MQ, 40AX, 40BX, 40EX and 40GQ), 2013-2018 Tuscany (models 38SQ, 40DX, 40KQ, 40RX, 42GX, 42HQ, 42WX, 44MT 45AT and 45LT) and 2016-2020 Venetian (models A40, B42, F42, G36, J40, L40, M37, R40, S40, and T42) motorhomes. The rear reflectors within the taillight lens may be too high, reducing the vehicle’s visibility. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Remedy
TMC will notify owners, and dealers will install adhesive reflectors, free of charge. The recall began January 2, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC’s number for this recall is RC000180.

Issue:
On certain model 2013 through 2018 Tuscany, 2014 through 2017 Tuscany XTE and 2016 through 2020 Venetian motorhomes, the rear reflectors are not in the proper position per FMVSS 108.
Without the reflectors in the required position, the motorhome may be less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of an accident and/or property damage.
Parts Required:
Four (4) Self-Adhesive Reflector Stickers (Supplied in recall notification mailing)

Instructions:
- Clean area of rear cap so it is free of dirt and debris.
- On the rear of the coach, measure 30” up from the bottom of the rear cap as depicted in Figure 1 on both sides of the rear cap.
- After measuring, place one adhesive reflector on each side of the rear cap which should be just under the taillight lens as depicted in Figure 2.
- On the side, from the bottom of the rear cap, measure up 6” and place one adhesive reflector on each side of the rear cap and align it with the trim molding as depicted in Figure 2.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Thor Motor Coach (TMC) has decided that certain 2013 through 2018 Tuscany, 2014 through 2017 Tuscany XTE and 2016 through 2020 Venetian motorhomes fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, ” Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment”. As a result, TMC is conducting a safety recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your safety and continued satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us.
| Reason for this recall | It has been decided that on certain 2013 through 2018 Tuscany, 2014 through 2017 Tuscany XTE and 2016 through 2020 Venetian motorhomes, the rear reflectors are not in the right location which is a noncompliance of FMVSS 108. Without the required reflectors, the motorhome may be less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash and/or property damage. |

This Safety Recall Notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the United States National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act and The Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Act and is important for your safety.
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) decided that a non-compliance which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain motor homes.
It has been decided that on certain 2013 through 2018 Tuscany, 2014 through 2017 Tuscany XTE and 2016 through 2020 Venetian motorhomes, the rear reflectors are not in the right position which is a non-compliance of FMVSS 108. Without the required reflectors, the motorhome may be less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of an accident and/or property damage.
Affected 2014 through 2020 motorhomes include certain models of Tuscany, Tuscany XTE and Venetian.
The required action is to install the four (4) adhesive reflectors provided in this mailing.
Dealers that have stock units impacted by this recall can access the full list of affected VINs sold to their dealership by accessing the “Service Campaign” portion of the TMC Advantage Web Portal. If any unit on this list has been retail sold you are asked to notify the retail owner as soon as possible of this recall because their vehicle was not registered at the time the retail notice was mailed. Please immediately register any retail sold units on this list. As a reminder, you are required by law to complete this recall on any stock units in inventory prior to retail sale. Any vehicle lessor receiving this notice must forward a copy to the lessee within 10 days.
