Flip Up Storage Racks May Detach
The rack and all items secured to it may detach from the trailer, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
KZRV, L.P. (KZRV) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Connect and Sportsmen trailers equipped with an optional Rock Run flip up rear storage rack. The racks may detach from the trailer when loaded.
Remedy
KZRV will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the mounting brackets. If the existing rack is damaged, it will be replaced with a redesigned version, free of charge. The recall began December 16, 2019. Owners may contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016, extension 154 or 153. KZRV’s number for this recall is KZ-2019-02.

Problem
The vehicles subject to this recall were built with flip down storage racks. The brackets used to mount the storage rack can fail and could result in the rack and any contents to become separated from the vehicle which may result in a crash.

WARRANTY REIMBURSEMENT:
A notice of this recall has been sent to affected retail owners. A copy of the Owner’s letter is included for your review. They may request that you complete the repair. If so, please follow the warranty reimbursement procedure. If the unit and/or units are in your inventory, or if you are requested to perform the repair for the retail customer, please complete the advised repair and send in a warranty claim referencing this recall number for reimbursement. The time allowed for repair is 1 hour.
SERVICE ACTION:
Change the existing mounting brackets and inspect the storage rack. If the storage rack is damaged, replace the storage rack with a new storage rack.

KZRV has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019 & 2020 Connect and Sportsmen models. As a result, KZRV is conducting a safety recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your safety and continued satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us.
| Reason for this recall | The vehicles subject to this recall were built with flip down storage racks. The brackets used to mount the storage rack can fail and could result in the rack and any contents to become separated from the vehicle which may result in a crash. |
| What we will do | The remedy is to change the existing mounting brackets and inspect the storage rack. If the storage rack is damaged, a new storage rack will be provided. This repair will be completed free of charge. The repair should take approximately 1 hour to complete. |
| What we need you to do | You should contact your selling dealer immediately to schedule a service appointment to have the defect repaired in your vehicle. If you have questions concerning this recall or if you need any assistance, please contact the KZRV Warranty/Service Department by mail at KZRV, L.P., 0985 N 900 W, Shipshewana, IN 46565, or by phone at (800)768-4016 ext. 154 or 153.
