Summary
Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019 FUV motorcycles. The ignition switch is missing the word “Ignition” and the “Off” position is not labeled with the word “Off.” As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, “Motorcycle Controls and Displays.”
Remedy
Arcimoto will notify owners, and dealers will replace the key switch trim ring with a laser-etched key switch that contains an “Ignition” and “Off” label, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6923.

Arcimoto has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019 model year FUVs.

Why is your vehicle being recalled?
Your vehicle was manufactured with the ignition switch missing the word “Ignition” and the “Off” position not labeled with the word “Off.” As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS 123. This lack of labeling could cause operator confusion in circumstances, increasing the risk for operator error.
What will we do?
Arcimoto will replace the key switch trim ring with a laser-etched key switch that contains an “Ignition” and “Off” label. The replacement will be performed at no cost and can take up to a half hour to complete.
