Inverter Communication May Time Out
If the battery unexpectedly shuts down, the motorcycle can immediately lose power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019 FUV motorcycles. Due to a software error, communication between inverters
may time out, possibly resulting in an unexpected battery shutdown.
Remedy
Arcimoto will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the inverter software/ firmware, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.

Safety Recall: Inverter Time-Out May Cause Battery Shutdown

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Arcimoto has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019 model year FUVs.

Why is your vehicle being recalled?
Unintended software error may cause unexpected battery shutdown, which would lead to an immediate loss of traction power without warning, making the vehicle more difficult to control and increase the likelihood of a crash.
What will we do?
A trained Arcimoto Service Technician will remedy the defect by reprogramming the inverter software.
The reprogramming will be performed at no cost and can take up to one hour to complete.
