RECALL SERVICE BULLETIN

Smoke Detector location Recall
Description
On certain fifth wheel trailers the smoke detector may not have been properly located inside of the bedroom area. If the unit has a C/O detector and smoke detector please verify that the smoke detector is NOT located in the bedroom. If the smoke detector is in the bedroom it needs to be switched with the C/O detector located at the top of the stairs. If the unit is equipped with a combination LP-C/O detector and switching the smoke detector is not an option then an additional smoke alarm needs to be installed in the main body of the unit. Please see pictures below to show the difference between the C/O detector and smoke detector.
The pictures above show the C/O detector which should be located in the bedroom if the unit is not equipped with the combination LP-C/O detector. The C/O detector has gray lettering that says, “Carbon Monoxide Alarm” on the face and a warning sticker located on the side.
Pictured below is the smoke detector which has no gray lettering written on it. The smoke detector needs to be located in the main body of the unit.
