Improper Traction-Power Harnesses
Uncrimped or improperly crimped cable lugs can cause loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, it can also cause localized high heat and arcing, increasing the risk of fire.

Summary
Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2020 FUV motorcycles. The traction-power harnesses large-gauge cable-lugs may be uncrimped or improperly crimped.
Remedy
Arcimoto will notify owners and will replace the traction-power harnesses, free of charge. The recall began March 24, 2020. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.

Safety Recall: Improper Traction-Power Harnesses

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Arcimoto has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019 and 2020 model year FUVs.
Why is your vehicle being recalled?
Your vehicle was manufactured with improperly crimped large-gauge cable-lugs on completed traction-power harnesses, which may cause loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, it can also cause localized high heat and arcing, increasing the risk of fire.
What will we do?
A trained Arcimoto Service Technician will remedy the improper traction-power harnesses by replacing all of the traction-power harnesses. The replacement will be performed at no cost and can take up approximately six (6) hours to complete.
