Unprotected Ceiling Pot Light Wires May Cause Fire
Arcing wires can increase the risk of a fire.

Summary
Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain 2020 Wonder W24RTB, W24MB, and W24FTB travel trailers. The 12V ceiling pot light wires are not protected with a grommet where they pass through the aluminum tubing, allowing them to chafe and arc.
Remedy
Triple E has notified owners, and dealers will cover the ceiling pot light wiring in a split tubing or install a grommet to protect the wire from the metal edges of the tubing, free of charge. The recall began March 13, 2020. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E’s number for this recall is CA#9643-1.

QAAR 9643 Add Protection to 12V Wire Routed Through Roof A/C Frame Tubing

Make sure coach is not plugged in and AGS is disconnected so the air conditioner won’t start.
You will need two lengths of 1/4″ split tubing and a Phillips bit screw driver. (Do not use a power
drill as some of the screws may strip.)

Remove each of the screens and set aside.

Remove the 2 screws holding the air conditioner shroud to the roof at each the front and rear louvers and set aside

Open each of the side panels near the rear to remove each of the screws and set aside.

Remove each of the middle side screws from the holes that are slightly larger than the others and set aside.

Remove the inner two screws from the shroud and set aside.

With all screws removed, gently pull down on the front then push the shroud towards the rear of the coach to release the clips.

Remove the 2 screws holding the rear grill in place.

Push the ducting up into the A/C.

Find the 12V wire routed through the aluminum tube.
Inspect for damages.
If no damage continue.
If damage can be seen contact LTV Warranty/Service at: 1-877-992-9906

Slide a 100mm section of split tubing over top of the 12V wire so that the split tubing will protect the wire as it is routed through both walls of the aluminum tubing.

Do the same thing on the other side.

Reinstall the duct and grill in the back with the round side facing forward and the flat side to the rear.

Replace the shroud and reinstall all the screws in reverse order they were removed.
Be careful not to strip the screw threading.
Tighten until the shroud starts to dent the roof vinyl material.

Replace both front screens.

Triple E Recreational Vehicles has decided that certain 2020 Wonder motorhomes manufactured between December 10, 2019 & February 28, 2020 fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard
Description of Safety Defect:
The 12V ceiling pot light wiring located in the roof area is routed through an aluminum tubing, which is located in the area near the air conditioner. In the situation where the wiring insulation may come in contact with the raw metal edge it may become worn. The exposed wiring could cause an arcing hazard if it touches the metal tubing. This could cause a spark causing a fire, which could cause bodily injury.
To Have This Modification Performed:
We request your assistance to have this Safety issue corrected. Included in this mailing are two (2) pieces of split tubing to be inserted over the 12V wiring for the ceiling pot lights. Please follow the enclosed SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to access this 12V wire in the roof area. If you choose to have your selling dealer or a RV service center perfmm the recall it will be performed at no charge to you. The time needed to perform the recall is approximately 15 minutes. If you choose to have this Recall performed by a service center other than your dealer, prior authorization is required.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
