Summary
Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. (Ferrara) is recalling certain Pelican Flashlights, models 9410 and 9415, supplied with various emergency response vehicles. The battery pack within the flashlights may explode while charging.
Remedy
Ferrara Fire will cooperate with Pelican to notify owners of the affected products and to arrange for their return and repair or replacement. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Ferrara Fire customer service at 1-800-443-9006.

Dear Customer,
Our records indicate that from 2010 to present, you may have purchased the above-referenced flashlights (“Products”). Therefore, please be advised that Pelican is voluntarily recalling these Products.
Product being recalled:
- Pelican 9410/9415 Flashlight in Yellow or Black (Catalog # 9410 or 9415)
- Pelican Replacement Charger (Catalog # 9416)
Stop Charging and Using the Flashlight Immediately

Please note that the Products equipped with Nickel Metal Hydride ( “NiMH”) battery packs are the subject of this recall. Pelican’s 9410L with lithium ion battery packs are NOT being recalled.

Reason for Recall:
There is a potential problem with aged battery packs in these models during the charging process. The battery pack can become unstable and explode while charging, creating a risk of injury and damaging the light and property in the process.
WHAT YOU MUST DO:
- Check Your Inventory: Please check your product inventory as soon as possible to determine if you still possess any of the recalled Products. The Products can be identified by looking for the manufacturer part number on the bar code label of the Product’s original packaging. If you still have any of these Products, please follow the next step.
- Return Products: Contact Pelican toll free, 8 AM-5 PM P T, Monday through Friday at (877) 619-0289, (310) 257-5691, or via e-mail at CSR.QualityReturns@pelican.com to arrange for the return and repair or replacement of any/all Product-related inventory.

To identify recalled products, check the pan on the original packaging, or check the digitts logo area, battery pack, or charger itself. To view the battery packs in the flashlights, remove the 6 screws at the bottom of the flashlight; remove the back plastic covering; then unscrew the metal bracket and gently lift the bracket to uncover the battery pack and view the 9410* and 9415 number on the battery pack
