Summary
Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2007-2018 Thomas Built Buses Minotour transit buses built on GM
chassis and equipped with wheelchair lifts. The wheelchair lift may be operated while the vehicle is in Neutral or Drive.
Remedy
DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the wheelchair lift, correcting the electrical connections as necessary, free of
charge. DTNA issued owners an interim notification on April 26, 2018. The recall began November 15, 2018. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA’s number for this recall is FL-761.

Subject: TBB Minotour Wheelchair Lift Interlock
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Daimler Trucks North America LLC, on behalf of its wholly owned subsidiary, Thomas Built Buses, Inc., has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists on specific Thomas Built Bues Minotour buses equipped with an optional wheelchair lift manufactured June 22, 2007, through December 8, 2017.
On certain buses, the interlock may not prevent the wheelchair lift from operating while the vehicle gear shifter is in neutral or drive. If the vehicle is moved while the wheelchair lift is in operation, there is an increased risk of injury.
The wheelchair lift wiring will be inspected and repaired s needed.
This is the first of two notices you will receive regarding this subject. This letter is to inform you of an upcoming
Recall to correct the issue noted above. Parts are not yet available. You may continue to operate your vehicle.
The second notice will inform you when the final remedy is available. When you receive the second notice, please contact your authorized Thomas Built Buses dealer to schedule the Recall for your vehicle.
If you do not own the vehicle that corresponds to the identification number(s), which appears on the Recall Notification, please return the notification to the Warranty Campaigns Department with any information you can furnish that will assist us in locating the present owner.
