DETAILS This bulletin provides new PM inspection requirements for the fore and
aft articulated joint wiring fuses on your New Flyer vehicle.
Make this Service Bulletin available to service personnel to inform them
of this new information and procedure.

1. Articulated Joint Wiring
Fuses
1.1. Inspection
Inspect the connections at the articulated
joint fuse assemblies every six months or
15,000 miles (24,000 km), whichever
occurs first. Refer to the following procedure.
Ensure the main disconnect switch is
turned to the “OFF” position before proceeding
1. Gain access to the fore and aft joint fuse
assembly located internally at ceiling of
artic joint bellows.
2. Remove fore access door by unlocking
four square-key quarter turn latches. See
“Fig. 1: Wiring Joint Fuse Assembly” on
page 2.
3. Remove the aft access door by unlocking
two square-key quarter latches.
4. Inspect the connections at the fore fuse
assembly. See “Fig. 2: Articulated Joint
Wiring Fuses” on page 3.
5. Locate terminal on ground point as shown
on Fig. 2, item 3 and inspect.
6. Torque nut to specification on chart.
7. Inspect nuts on terminals at bus bar and
fuses as shown on Fig. 2, Items 1 & 2.
8. Torque to specification on chart.
9. Gain access to back of fuse assembly.
10.Ensure that harnesses, cabling and air
lines are secured by cable mounts and
ties.
11.Repeat Steps 5 through 11 for aft fuse
assembly.
12.Install access doors back into position.
13.Turn the main disconnect switch to the
“ON” position.

to specified torque when replacing any
components. Loose connections can
result in arcing, component damage,
and possible fire.
