INTEGRAL™ Disc Brake Axles with C88 Spindle
Change in Inspection Interval Notification
April 2014
In order to maintain optimum performance of your INTEGRAL™ disc brake axle, SAF-HOLLAND® has determined that changes MUST be made to the existing routine service intervals outlined in Section 12 of the SAF® Service Manual XL-SA10059OM-en-US Rev B.
Visual and Safety Inspections should be performed as called for in Table 1 below. Where time and milage intervals are listed, the inspection should be performed at whichever interval is reached first. Adherence to these inspection intervals will minimize wheel end components that have experienced abnormal wear being left in service.
Failure to inspect and maintain your SAF-HOLLAND® INTEGRAL™ disc brake axle as outlined in this Service Bulletin could result in brake or wheel bearing failure which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
This change is effective immediately and will be reflected in SAF® Service Manual XL-SA10059OM-en-US Rev C. Please retain this publication as it serves as an update to your current SAF® Service Manual XL-SA10059OM-en-US Rev B.
NOTE: If replacement parts are needed for your INTEGRAL™ disc brake axle, SAF-HOLLAND® Original Parts MUST be used to maintain designed component performance.

| MECHANICAL CHECK |
| Attention: Check torque of wheel nuts after the first 5-100 miles (8-160 km) from date vehicle was placed into service and after every wheel removal. Continually check wheel torque every 10,000 miles (16,000 km), or at the intervals indicated in your vehicle owner’s manual, whichever occurs first. |
