Loose Wiring Connector May Short and Cause Fire

Summary
Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain 2020 Wonder W24RTB, W24MB, and W24FTB motorhomes built on a Ford
transit chassis. The CCP1 electrical connection located on the driver’s seat base was not tightened to the correct specification and may short circuit.
Remedy
Triple E has notified owners, and dealers will tighten the electrical connection to specification, free of charge. This recall began June 26, 2020. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E’s number for this recall is CA#9711-1.

Make sure all power is off in the coach:
1. Shore Power Unplugged
2. Battery Disconnect OFF
3. Keys not in ignition

Open the driver’s door and look at the base of the chair pedestal behind the rear of the cab door pillar for the CCP1 connection point.

Remove the cover by gently pulling on the top tab away from the seat.

Using a 10mm (13/32″) socket, back off the M5 nut until it spins freely.

Use a torque wrench to apply 35in/lbs to the nut.

Snap cover back over connection point, make sure it clicks

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic & Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Triple E Recreational Vehicles has decided that certain 2020 Wonder motorhomes manufactured between May 4, 2020 & May 28, 2020 fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard
Description of Safety Defect:
The CCP I connection, located on the driver seat base, has not been torqued to the specified torque requirement. There is a possibility that the nut on this connection may come loose causing a short in the electrical, which could cause a fire and bodily injury.
To Have This Modification Performed:
We request your assistance to have this Safety issue corrected. Please follow the enclosed SOP02673 (Standard Operating Procedures) to perfmm the Recall. If you choose to have your selling dealer or a RV service center perform the recall it will be performed at no charge to you. The time needed to perform the recall is approximately 6 minutes. If you choose to have this Recall performed by a service center other than your dealer, prior authorization is required.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a prenotification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
