Summary
Xtreme Outdoors (Xtreme) is recalling certain 2020 Little Guy Mini Max Trailers. The curb weight, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) are understated on the certification label, affecting how well the trailer may be towed. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, “Tire selection and Rims” and 49 CFR part 567, “Certification.”
Remedy
Xtreme will notify owners, and dealers will send new certification labels for all trailers affected by this recall, free of charge. Unsold units that are outside Xtreme Outdoors control will also be issued new paperwork with the correct information. The recall began September 22, 2020. Owners may contact Xtreme customer service at 1-888-469-9688.

Dear Xtreme Outdoors Customer:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Xtreme Outdoors has decided that certain model 2020 Little Guy Mini Max trailers, manufactured by Xtreme Outdoors between 07/29/2019 and 06/16/2020, fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, Tire selection and rims and motor home/recreation vehicle trailer load carrying capacity information for motor vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or less, and 49 CFR Part 567. We are notifying you because our records indicate that you are the current owner of the trailer listed above. Therefore, please review this letter carefully.
What is the Problem?
The curb weight, Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) are understated on the CCC label and certification label. Accordingly, these vehicles do not comply with FMVSS No. 110 and 49 CFR Part 567. An understated trailer weight presents a risk that the trailer may exceed the towing capacity of the towing vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
What Are We Doing About the Problem?
To correct the noncompliance, Xtreme Outdoors has enclosed the correct Cargo Carrying Capacity label and certification label. At your earliest convenience, you may use the enclosed instructions to apply the new ‘abets over top of the existing labels. (The labels are located on the forward half of the left side of the trailer.) Alliteratively, you may contact your nearest Xtreme Outdoors dealer to arrange to have the labels applied for you, at no cost to you. Replacing the labels should take approximately 12 minutes to complete.
If you no longer own the 2020 Little Guy Mini Max trailer, please forward this notice to the new owner and provide the new owner’s address to us at [email protected].
Federal law requires vehicle lessors receiving this recall notice to forward a copy to the lessee within ten days. Also, it is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a new trailer covered by this recall notice under a sale or lease until the noncompliance has been remedied.
