Summary
Cruise Car, Inc. is recalling certain 2020 Moke low-speed vehicles. The vehicles may be able exceed the 40km/h maximum permissible speed to be classified as a low-speed vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 500, “Low Speed Vehicles.”
Remedy
Cruise Car will notify owners, and dealers will calibrate the vehicle’s maximum speed, free of charge. The recall began September 9, 2020. Owners may contact Cruise Car customer service at 1-941-929-1630.

Dear Moke Owner,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Cruise Car, Inc. has decided that a defect may exist in your vehicle. Certain 2020 MOKE Low Speed Vehicle’s (LSVs), may fail to comply to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 500 for “Low Speed Vehicles.” We have you listed as the owner of a vehicle with the VIN shown above.
Issue: Your 2020 MOKE LSV may have a noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 500, because it may exceed the maximum permissible speed of 40km/h to be classified as a low‐speed vehicle.
Risk: LSVs are required to travel at a minimum speed of 33kph (20mph) and not to exceed 40kph (40mph). A low speed vehicle that can exceed 40 km/h (25mph), increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: Cruise Car will recalibrate your vehicle’s maximum speed requirement free of charge. The repair will take approximately XX hours.
