Service Bulletin S19AB, Separator Clamp Removal on Gasoline with Heat Shield affects certain model
year 2020 Visions with a Ford gasoline powertrain and heat shield. To correct this condition, the Dealer
is to cut the zip ties and remove the swivel saddle, if the heat shield is installed.
Affected Units:
On certain 2020 model year Blue Bird Vision School Buses manufactured from October 31, 2018 through
March 16, 2019 and certain model year Blue Bird Vision Non-School Buses manufactured from
November 15, 2018 through February 7, 2019, the Dealer is to cut zip ties and remove the swivel saddle
if heat shield is installed. A separate printout will be provided listing all buses in your territory that are
affected by this service bulletin. Service Bulletin S19AB will be mailed to all owners on record. Be sure
to review your list and advise of any incorrect owner names and/or addresses.
Repair Parts:
No repair parts are required.
Time Allowance:
Time allowed to complete the Sl9AB remedy to cut the zip ties and remove the swivel saddle in each
bus is 0.1 hours.
Completion Notification:
If you perform this service bulletin yourself or have an outside repair facility perform this bulletin, please
notify your Blue Bird Dealer, when the repair is completed. Send the body number, repair date, and
odometer reading to your Blue Bird Dealer. If you request reimbursement for labor, also send a copy of
the work order/invoice to your Blue Bird Dealer.

If the modification directed by this notification was performed on your unit prior to the receipt of this
notification, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification
remedy of the subject matter of the campaign. Please provide a copy of all receipts to
campaignparts@blue-bird .com .
Bulletin Duration:
This Service Bulletin ends one (1) year from date of issue.
Repair Facility:
We encourage you to contact your Blue Bird Dealer to arrange to have this Service Bulletin performed.
However, you may elect and have the option to perform this Service Bulletin yourself or have a qualified
repair facility convenient to you perform this work. A qualified technician must perform work required
under this bulletin.

I. Shirter cable secured to gasoline fuel line with rnivel saddle and to the heat shield. If no heat shield is installed then the rnhel saddle l\lUST remain installed.
2. PCV valve tubing secured to gasoline fuel line with zip tie.
Corrective Action: Cut zip ties and remo,·e swivel saddle

Park bus on level surface, apply parkmg brake, tum off1gmt1on key, and chock wheels
Instructions:
I Dctcnninc if a heat shield is installed and 1f the shifter cable is attached to the heat shield us ing a button head zip tic. Part Number 00024076. (Photo I)
2 If the shifter cable is secured to the heat shield with the button head zip tie, then locate the swivel saddle at the top left rear of engine and cut the zip ties to remove and discard swivel saddle, if installed
between fuel line and shifter cable (Photo 2)
3. Inspect the fuel line and shifter cable for chaffing/rubbing and replace, if necessary.
4. Check for securement of PCV valve tubmg to fuel line and remove zip tie, if secured (Photo 3)
