Summary
Automann Inc. (Automann) is recalling certain Warning Triangle Sets, part number 562.9000. The color, reflectivity and stability of the warning triangles may result in reduced effectiveness. As such, these parts fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 125, “Warning Devices.”
Remedy
Automann will notify its distributors offering a credit for the full purchase price for all returned or destroyed units in its inventory. Automann will request that distributors notify all purchasers, for them to return the warning triangle kits, for a credit of the full purchase price. The recall began January 18, 2021. Owners may contact Automann customer service at 1-201-529-4996. Automann’s number for this recall is 0012021.

Automann has decided that its 562.9000 warning triangle kits do not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 125, “Warning Devices.”
What Is The Concern?
Automann has determined that its 562.9000 warning triangle kits may not conform to the color, reflectivity and stability requirements of the standard, which can cause the vehicle to be less visible to oncoming traffic, and can increase the risk of a crash.
This recall only affects warning triangle kits produced by Torch Industrial Co., Ltd and sold as aftermarket parts. The affected units contain the “Automann” logo on the outside of the container.
Only model number 562.9000 is affected.
What Should You Do?
Please contact the distributor from which you purchased the warning triangle kits. All warning triangle kits returned to the distributor (postage pre-paid) will be given a credit for the full purchase price.

The affected units were produced or sold to you between November 3, 2011 and September 21, 2018 and contain the “Automann” logo on the outside of the container. Only model number 562.9000 is affected.
What Should You Do?
Automann will provide you with a credit for all affected warning triangle units in your possession or inventory that are returned or destroyed. Please contact Automann at [email protected] to arrange for pre-paid shipping back to Automann. Alternatively, you may contact your local sales representative to return the product.
Distributors are also requested to send copies of the attached letter to end-users that purchased the 562.9000 warning triangle kits. End-users will be instructed to return affected warning triangle kits to their local distributor in order to receive a credit for the full purchase price.
