CUT OR DISCONNECT THE WIRES ON THE TAIL LAMPS FROM THE WIRES COMING OUT OF THE REAR WALL OF THE UNIT; *NOTE – DO NOT CUT AND REUSE THE TAIL LAMP WIRES* E. DISCARD THE TAIL LAMPS. STEP 2: A. PRIOR TO BEGINNING THIS PROCEDURE, TURN OFF THE LPG AT THE LP TANKS STEP 1: 1. REMOVE THE LENS FROM THE REAR PASSENGER TAIL LAMP TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE FASTENERS; 2. REMOVE FASTENERS AND SET ASIDE FOR REUSE; 3. MAKE A NOTE OR TAKE A PHOTO OF WHICH WIRES ARE CONNECTED TO THE TAIL LAMP; 4. MAKE A NOTE OR TAKE A PHOTO OF HOW THE PUTTY SEAL IS APPLIED TO THIS TAIL LAMP THIS WILL NEED TO APPLIED IN THE SAME MANOR TO THE REPLACEMENT TAIL LAMP; 5. CUT OR DISCONNECT THE WIRES ON THE WIRES COMING OUT OF THE REAR WALL FROM THE UNIT; *NOTE – DO NOT CUT AND REUSE THE TAIL LAMP WIRES* 6. DISCARD THE TAIL LAMP. STEP 2: 1. REINSTALL THE REPLACEMENT TAIL LAMP BY CONNECTING THE WIRES TOGETHER USING THE NOTE OR PHOTO TAKEN DURING STEP ONE; 2. APPLY PUTTY TO THE FASTENER HOLES/MIMIC THE WAY THE PUTTY SEAL WAS FROM THE TAIL LAMP FROM STEP ONE; 3. ENSURE THE WIRE CONNECTIONS ARE PROPER AND SECURE; 4. FEED THE WIRE(S) BACK INTO THE REAR WALL, PLACING THE TAIL LAMP IN THE SAME SPOT AS THE DISCARDED TAIL LAMP; 5. ALIGN THE FASTENER HOLES AND SECURE THE TAIL LAMP TO THE REAR WALL; 6. AVOID STRIPPING OUT THE FASTENER BY TAKING CARE NOT OVER TIGHTEN; 7. INSTALL THE TAIL LAMP LENS. STEP 3: 1. REMOVE WATER HEATER EXTERIOR ACCESS DOOR AND DISCARD; 2. DISCONNECT THE LP GAS HOSE FROM THE WATER HEATER; 3. INSIDE THE UNIT TO THE LEFT OF THE ENTRY DOOR AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WARDROBE CABINET IS THE WATER HEATER ACCESS PANEL, LOCATE AND REMOVE THIS PANEL (SET ASIDE FOR REINSTALLATION); 4. LOCATE AND UNPLUG THE 110V CORD FROM THE RECEIPT THAT THE WATER HEAT IS PLUGGED IN TO; 5. TRACE THE 12V WIRING TO THE WATER HEATER AND DISCONNECT; 6. DISCONNECT THE WATER LINES FROM THE REAR OF THE WATER HEATER; 7. ON THE FACE OF THE WATER HEATER, LOCATE AND REMOVE ALL FASTENERS THAT SECURE THE WATER HEATER TO THE REAR WALL; 8. USING A TOOL, CUT THE SILICONE SECONDARY SEAL THAT IS AROUND THE WATER HEATER FLANGE; 9. USING A TOOL, GENTLY PRY IN VARIOUS SPOTS BETWEEN THE REAR WALL AND THE WATER HEATER FLANGE; 10. PUSH THE WATER HEATER OUT OF THE OPENING FROM INSIDE OF THE UNIT. STEP 4: 1. INSTALL THE SUBURBAN WATER HEATER REPLACEMENT PER THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED WITH THE WATER HEATER; 2. CONNECT WATER LINES, 110V AND 12V PER THE SUBURBAN WATER HEATER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS; 3. FILL WATER HEATER AND WATCH FOR WATER LEAKS; 4. REINSTALL THE WATER HEATER ACCESS PANEL AT THE BASE OF THE WARDROBE CABINET; 5. CONNECT LP GAS SUPPLY; 6. TURN LP GAS ON AND APPLY LEAK TEST LIQUID TO THE CONNECTION; 7. PERFORM LP GAS DROP TEST AND BURN OFF; 8. PLUG VEHICLE IN AND TEST WATER HEATER OPERATION; 9. CLAIM REPAIR CODES.

Dear Forest River Customer:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. This notice is also sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Forest River – Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) has decided that a defect, which relates to the motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2021 Prime Time Tracer TRT22RBS travel trailer recreational vehicles. This is to inform you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person.
WHAT IS THE DEFECT/NONCOMPLIANCE?
The tail lamp is located to close to the water heater exhaust. This condition allows the high exhaust temperature to melt the tail lamp lens, which can lead to distortion of the tail lamp possibly causing it to become inoperative.
EVALUATION OF THE RISK TO THE VEHICLE AND OPERATOR(S) RELATED TO THE RECALL.
A distorted or an inoperative lens may lead to motorists not knowing the intentions of the tow vehicle operator that, which could lead to a crash, and possible injury.
WHAT IS FOREST RIVER AND OUR DEALERSHIPS GOING TO DO?
Forest River is notifying dealerships of the recall. You may have the recall corrected at any Forest River dealership. However, it is preferable if you have your selling dealership perform the remedy. Forest River completely covers your cost for the remedy; you will not receive any bill of sale for anything covered under the above recall number.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Please contact your dealer immediately and request a service appointment to schedule the free remedy. The vehicle Owner is responsible for arranging to have the work completed. Please state you have been notified by Forest River of having a recall in process for your vehicle and provide the recall number for the dealership. It is also helpful to the dealership to have a copy of this letter when you take your vehicle in for the recall remedy.

HOW LONG WILL THE REMEDY PROCESS TAKE?
The estimated time of repair is 1.5 hours. However, the dealership may need to keep your vehicle or schedule an appointment with you for a later date to fit into their regular service schedule.
WHAT IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY PAID FOR REPAIRS TO YOUR VEHICLE FOR THIS PARTICULAR CONDITION?
If you have already paid for a repair that is within the scope of this defect under recall, you still need to have this recall inspected and/or performed to ensure the correct parts and procedures were utilized.
Additionally, you may be eligible for a refund of previously paid repairs. Refunds will only be provided for within the scope of this defect under recall.

The Recall shall be considered the utmost priority to remedy the 2021 Prime Time Tracer TRT22RBS travel trailer in question. The retail consumer shall not be charged any amount of monies for remedy to their 2021 Prime Time Tracer TRT22RBS travel trailer listed under this Recall.
If your dealership has already performed the remedy to 2021 Prime Time Tracer TRT22RBS travel trailer, your dealership is entitled to the reimbursement as stated above by filing a claim using the indicated repair code(s). If the remedy needs to be performed on an out of warranty 2021 Prime Time Tracer TRT22RBS travel trailer in which the VIN falls under as stated in the identified VIN listing, your dealership is entitled to the reimbursement as stated above by filing a claim using the indicated repair code(s).
Notice:
In no manner shall a Forest River Product Owner or Coachmen Product Owner be charged any fee(s) for scheduling, conduction or completion of the recall. Additionally, all dealership(s) that are Forest River and/or Coachmen dealership(s) are Federally Mandated to perform the recall once presented with this recall whether by the Owner or Dealership receipt of this letter, without denial of service to the Owner. Lastly, denial of a remedy for this recall is a Federal Violation punishable by law resulting substantial fines and/or civil penalties.
