On Monday December 6, 2021, Shyft was notified of Cummins recall 21E-099. Within the notification, Cummins
supplied an engine serial number list. Between December 6 and December 9, Shyft worked to correlate the engine serial numbers to vehicle identification numbers. Some engine serial numbers did not cross. However, Shyft identified 143 motor home chassis to be affected and on December 10, Shyft determined a safety related defect could exist in the affected motor home chassis. However, Shyft continued to locate approximately 12 engines that did not correlate to a VIN. On December 14 all engines were accounted for.
