IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE Re: VIN NHTSA Recall 22V006 This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Reading Truck Body (Reading) has decided that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in your vehicle with the VIN stated above. What Is The Concern? Reading has found that the dump body hoist sub-frame rear mount weld joints can fail increasing the risk of personal injury or a crash. What Should You Do? The vehicle(s) listed were sold to you and have been identified as vehicle(s) that are subject to the potential weld joint failure. Please confirm ownership of the vehicle(s) and make an appointment to have your vehicle inspected and repaired at an authorized Reading Truck location. Please email [email protected] or call 1-800-458-2226 (option 4). The repair will be completed at no cost to you. How Long Will the Repair Take? The inspection of your vehicle will not take more than 15 minutes. The Reading Truck location will inspect and perform the repair free of charge. If repair is required, it is recommended that you plan to leave your vehicle with the dealer for approximately 2 hours to have the recall remedied. What To Do If You Feel You Received This Notice in Error? If you are not the current owner of the vehicle(s) identified on the enclosed list, please send email notification of the change of ownership to [email protected] Please include the Reading Body Serial or Chassis VIN, as well as any information you can produce on the vehicle’s new owner [Name, Address, and Phone#]. Federal law requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice forward it to the vehicle lessee within ten days. What To Do If You Have Questions?
