The trailer serial numbers are listed below: We have been notified by NHTSA that a safety defect may exist in the above LP regulator, causing it to fail. IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NHTSA ID: 22V-007 January 28, 2022 Dear : This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Play-Mor Trailers has determined that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain trailers equipped with WINNTECH LIQUID PROPANE REGULATOR WITH AUTO CHANGEOVER VALVE used in trailers with two liquid propane tanks manufactured between 2017- 2020. WHY DO THESE TRAILERS NEED REPAIRS? A safety defect may exist in the LP regulator, causing it to fail. This failure could result in excessive output pressure and enlarged flames in gas appliances, increasing a risk of fire. According to our records, you could have a 9 station hair and makeup trailer manufactured by Play-Mor with this defective regulator. The serial number is listed below: 1JW100R36K1 WHAT WILL PLAY-MOR TRAILERS DO: Play-Mor will send complete replacement regulators at no charge to you along with instructions on how to replace the regulator. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable with performing this replacement, Play-Mor will provide reimbursement for this replacement and for any repairs related to this recall at a service facility. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO: Inspect the trailer(s) listed above to determine if they do have the recalled regulator. Notify Play-Mor of the results of your inspection. INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGULATOR REPLACEMENT TO REMOVE: 1. Turn off all gas appliances 2. Turn the gas bottle valves to the off position 3. Disconnect hoses from the LP bottles 4. Remove the wingnut on the threaded rod that sits between the two LP bottles 5. Remove the regulator and auto changeover from the threaded rod that held it in place 6. Remove the hose from the bottom of the regulator assembly. YOU HAVE NOW DISCONNECTED THE REGULATOR FROM THE TRAILER TO INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT REGULATOR: 1. Take the new regulator assembly 2. Put thread sealer on the hose coming from the trailer to the bottom of the regulator assembly 3. Attach the hose to the regulator assembly 4. Slide regulator assembly back on the threaded rod that sits between the two LP bottles 5. Attach the wingnut to the threaded rod, when you have tightened this down, the regulator should be in a fixed position 6. Reattach the hoses from the regulator assembly to the LP bottles 7. Turn on LP bottles and CHECK FOR LEAKS AT ALL FITTINGS When returning the recalled regulator and changeover to Play-Mor Trailers it is not necessary to return the hoses.
