Dennis Eagle Inc. has decided that certain Pro View Class 8 Vocational HHD truck (s) fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 118; ‘Power Window Systems’  This Recall relates to the following VIN number (s): 1D92BGCB8HF791006 and 1D92BGCB8HF791007 This recall is being performed to correct a potential issue where the driver or passenger door window may not go all the way up or down when the button is pressed to operate the applicable window. Safety risk: If the driver or passenger can’t close the window, they may get wet and cold, this could lead to the driver struggling to control the vehicle which could lead to an increased risk of either crash, injury or fire. To overcome this problem Dennis Eagle Inc has instituted a software change to the Instrument Cluster which will eradicate the problem described above. Your Dennis Eagle Dealer will implement the software update to the Instrument Cluster free of charge. Please contact your Dealer as soon as possible to arrange for this update to be carried out. Accordingly a recall to address this issue is being initiated effective Jan 22. The defect involves the driver and passenger windows, there is a possibility that the window may not go all the way up or down when pressing the appropriate button. Owners will be notified by mail about the recall and will be instructed to contact dealers to arrange this rework. The rework can either be carried out at customers premises or at your own dealerships depending on the customers requirements.
